Scheming Gaston vs Ortho vs Epel (Intl October)

Besides Disney Villains (Set), the International app's October box has three more new Tsums: Scheming Gaston, Ortho Shroud and Epel Felmier. Each has its own guide on this site. This page puts them side by side so you can decide where your coins go.

Short version (our opinion):

• None of the three is a coin farmer. If coins are the goal, chase the Set instead
• Best for Villains Halloween missions: Scheming Gaston. He covers 4 of the 8 trait missions the Set can't do (mouth, ribbon, yellow hands, tied hair). Ortho covers 1 (center burst). Epel covers none
• Best for score: Epel, if you can handle a 4–7 second skill
• Pull order if you're past the Set: Gaston for missions, Epel for score, Ortho for fans

Two notes:

• Ortho's level table: Fandom's "skill upgrade" column for Ortho adds up to 29, but its own infobox (and Tsum Tsum Lab) say 32 copies for max skill. We use 32 and leave the per-level counts out as unconfirmed
• Release date in International: neither source gives an exact date for any of the three, only that they belong to the October event (until 10/31 11:59 PM PST). Unconfirmed

Coins

Tsum Tsum Lab calls all three's coin farming "not high". Their ratings (opinion): Gaston ★2, Epel ★2. For Ortho, their verdict is "not strong at any skill level". We agree. None of these is worth a Skill Ticket for coins, and Tsum Tsum Lab rates all three ★1 for Skill Ticket priority.

Villains Halloween missions

This is where they actually differ. We matched each Tsum's trait tags on Fandom against the event's trait missions, focusing on the 8 missions the Set isn't tagged for (see which missions the Set covers).

Other overlaps worth knowing:

• Gaston is tagged Villains, so he also counts for the three "Villain Tsum" missions (Cards 4, 5, 6)
• Epel is tagged Purple, so he works for Card 6's "18 large Tsums with a purple Tsum"
• Ortho is tagged Blue, so he works for Card 5's "9.75M points with a blue Tsum"

Caveat: the trait tags come from Fandom only. Tsum Tsum Lab doesn't list traits. Before you spend items, check the mission's eligible-Tsum list in the game.

Brown, white eyes and black hands aren't covered by any of the four new Tsums. You'll need an older Tsum for those.

Which to pull first (opinion)

1. Disney Villains (Set) if you don't have it. Tsum Tsum Lab and we agree it's the one worth chasing (skill guide)
2. Scheming Gaston if you're pushing for the Platinum Pin. He fills half of the Set's mission gaps, and Card 6 is where those gaps pile up. Tsum Tsum Lab rates his missions ★3, the highest of the three. Gaston guide
3. Epel Felmier if you chase high scores. Tsum Tsum Lab rates his score ★4, but the short skill window makes him hard to play. Epel guide
4. Ortho Shroud mostly for Twisted Wonderland fans. He's useful for the center-burst coin mission and combo/bubble missions, but not much else. Ortho guide

All three are limited-time, so if you collect a series, this month is the time to get them.
