Villains Set skill, explained
Intl October Tsum Disney Villains (Set): the gauge-and-combo loop, what each villain does, and how to read coin claims.
Disney Villains (Set) is one of the International app’s new October Tsums, tied to the Villains Halloween event. It isn’t a “tap once, watch the board explode” Tsum. Think of it as a timer you keep alive: every time you fire the skill again, a different villain joins in, and the payoff comes when all of them are active at once.
Short version:
- Activating the skill starts a green gauge. While it’s running, you can keep firing combo skills
- Each combo skill brings out a villain with its own effect: Evil Queen transforms Tsums, Ursula makes Ursulas bigger, Hades glows for extra score, Maleficent clears the Tsums around her, and Scar clears a line
- The goal is Ursula + Hades + Maleficent active together. After that, you keep firing for Scar clears until the gauge runs out
- Coin numbers you see online are one player’s test runs, not something you’ll automatically hit
Watch it first
tsumlyss’s run is the clearest one I found on how the loop plays out on a real board: Skill Level 6, Lv 11, 5▶4 + Coin boost.
If the embed doesn’t load: Disney Villains (Set) SL6 gameplay (tsumlyss) (about 4 minutes).
Watch the green gauge more than the score. Most of the run is about firing again before the gauge empties and swapping in the next villain. That’s where the coins come from.
How the skill loop works
Fandom and tsumlyss’s notes agree on the basic shape:
- Fire the skill → the green gauge appears. While it lasts, you can use combo skills
- Fill the skill meter again and fire → a villain shows up and applies their effect
- Effects stack. In Fandom’s words, everyone except Scar stays active until the main skill ends
- Once all the effects are active, every extra activation turns into Scar’s line clear
- When the green gauge runs out, the chain is over and you start from scratch
What each villain does
| Villain | Effect | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Evil Queen | Turns Evil Queen Tsums into other Tsums | tsumlyss: they become Maleficent, Hades, or Ursula |
| Ursula | Makes Ursula Tsums bigger | Fandom: a big Ursula counts as 2 Tsums |
| Hades | Hades Tsums glow and score more | Score boost |
| Maleficent | Clears the Tsums around a Maleficent when you chain her | Board-clearing help |
| Scar | Clears a diagonal line (Fandom) | Doesn’t stick around like the others. It’s your finisher |
This set-skill Scar is not the same as the standalone Scar Tsum from the Premium Box, which clears a horizontal line. For his own numbers, see How to use Scar (Intl).
Where the sources disagree
- What comes out first: tsumlyss says the first villain is always Evil Queen. Fandom describes it as “a random Tsum from the set appears.” From these two alone, I can’t say whether the first one is fixed or random
- Gauge resets: Fandom says the gauge resets whenever a different villain’s skill fires. tsumlyss adds that Maleficent, Hades, and Ursula reset it, but Scar doesn’t. Both agree that bringing in a new villain buys you time, so plan as if Scar won’t refill your gauge
- How big Scar’s clear is: Fandom calls it a diagonal line. tsumlyss describes it as clearing the screen once everything is active. This might just be how far it reaches at Skill 6, but I can’t confirm that from what I have
Tips that actually help
These are tsumlyss’s tips, with my notes on why each one matters:
- Get the first skill out fast. The whole Tsum is about keeping the gauge alive, so the sooner you start, the more full cycles you get
- Aim for Ursula, Hades, and Maleficent at once. One villain alone is pretty plain. Stacking them is where the board starts working for you
- Once all three are glowing, keep some bubbles around. Popping them speeds up clears and settles the board, which sets you up for a full Scar clear. Burst too early and you may be short on Tsums when the meter fills
Skill levels (from Fandom)
| Skill Level | Tsums needed | Effect range | Copies for this level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 45 | SS | 1 |
| 2 | 42 | S | 1 |
| 3 | 39 | M | 2 |
| 4 | 36 | L | 4 |
| 5 | 33 | LL | 8 |
| 6 | 30 | 3L | 20 |
That’s 36 copies to max, per Fandom. Since this table comes from one source, double-check the skill screen in your own app.
Reading the coin numbers
| Where | Claim | Conditions given |
|---|---|---|
| tsumlyss video | about 8.8k base coins, about 22.8M score | SL6, Lv11, 5▶4 + Coin boost, one run |
| RelaxZone video titles | “$6,500+” to “$10,000+” per run | Varies by video (5▶4 only, no boost, Skill 5, and so on). Skill level isn’t always in the title |
These come from specific players’ videos. They show what’s possible with good play, not what a typical run looks like. Your skill level, items, Tsum level, and how well you keep the gauge alive all swing the result a lot. If you’re at Skill 1–3, expect much less.
Getting one
According to Fandom, Disney Villains (Set) is a Limited Time Event Tsum for the International Villains Halloween event (October 2026), and it isn’t in Premium Boxes outside that event. Fandom also notes that this month’s new Tsums give a Character Bonus in the event. For exact box dates, check the in-game notices instead of a third-party page.
RelaxZone’s clips are useful if you want to see the skill at each level: Skill showcase, Skill 1/6 and Skill test, Skill 1 to 6 (5▶4 only).
