How to use Ariel (Intl)
Ariel on Intl: circle skill numbers, and how she differs from Ariel+.
Ariel is the original Little Mermaid Tsum in the International Premium Box. Her skill clears a circle of Tsums around a spot on the board. Fandom says she arrived on International in May 2015, so many players already have her, and she's an easy, low-cost skill to learn on.
The short version:
- The skill needs 14 Tsums. Fandom and Tsum Tsum Central both say 14
- Score: 90 at Lv 1, 825 at Lv 50 (+15 per level). Fandom and Tsum Tsum Central agree. The in-game card in the video below also fits (Lv 37 = 630)
- Max skill level is 6, and it takes 34 copies to get there (1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 6 / 18). Fandom's Ariel page, Fandom's Skill Upgrade Chart and Tsum Tsum Central's box counts all match
- She's not Ariel+ or Ariel & Flounder. Those are separate Tsums with different skills. Tips for one don't carry over
- Our catalog card's score was corrected on 2026-10-29 to match the two reference sites. It still lists a 7th skill level, explained below
How the skill works
| Point | Details | Checked by |
|---|---|---|
| Skill text | "Clears a circle of Tsum Tsum." | Fandom, Tsum Tsum Central, the in-game card in MooGaming's video |
| Skill type | Circular burst | Fandom (category), the skill text |
| Tsums to activate | 14 | Fandom, Tsum Tsum Central |
| Score | 90 at Lv 1, +15 per level, 825 at Lv 50 | Fandom, Tsum Tsum Central (full level table). The video's card shows Lv 37 = 630, which is 90 + 36 × 15 |
| Max skill level | 6 | Fandom, Tsum Tsum Central. The video shows "Skill 6/6 MAX" |
| Copies to max the skill | 34 (1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 6 / 18 per level) | Fandom (Ariel page and Skill Upgrade Chart), Tsum Tsum Central |
| Skill range | Smallest at SL1, biggest at SL6 | Fandom (SS to 3L) and Tsum Tsum Central (XS to "XLL") use different size labels. The video's card shows "Radius: XXL Size" at SL6 |
Our catalog vs. the reference sites
On 2026-10-29 we corrected the score on this site's Ariel card. It now matches the two reference sites:
| Fandom + Tsum Tsum Central | Our catalog card | |
|---|---|---|
| Score at Lv 1 | 90 | 90 (was 100) |
| Score per level | +15 | +15 (was +30) |
| Score at Lv 50 | 825 | 825 (was 1,570) |
| Skill levels | 6 | 7 (up to XXXL) |
The in-game card in the video (Lv 37 = 630, Skill 6/6 MAX) fits these numbers. The card's 7th skill level is still unconfirmed for International, and we haven't changed that part yet.
How to play her
These are our tips, not tested numbers (our opinion):
- Fire the skill as soon as it's ready. At 14 Tsums she's one of the cheaper skills in the box. Using it often beats waiting for the perfect board
- Aim for the crowded part of the board. A circle clear removes whatever is inside it, so firing when the Tsums are packed (usually the bottom half) clears more
- Range is what you're leveling. The score bonus from skill levels is small. The jump from the smallest circle at SL1 to the biggest at SL6 is what makes her feel different. The last level alone takes 18 copies, though, so SL5 is a realistic stopping point for most players
Watch: a full SL6 run
If the video doesn't load: Line Disney Tsum Tsum - Ariel Gameplay Skill 6 (MooGaming) (January 2017, about 3 minutes)
There's no narration, just a straight game with Ariel at SL6. What to watch for:
- The Tsum card at the start. Level 37, Skill 6/6 MAX, Score 630, Radius XXL Size. That screen is how we checked the score line
- How big the SL6 circle is. Each skill takes a big round bite out of the board, so you can see why range is the thing to level
- It was played during a Magical Time event. You'll see a "Magical Points" bar at the top and a Magical Time continue screen at the end. That event is long over, so ignore those parts
- The result. About 1.53 million points and 1,717 coins when time ran out. That's one player's run from 2017, not a target
Ariel vs. Ariel+ vs. Ariel & Flounder
Several Tsums have "Ariel" in the name. These three are the ones people mix up most:
| Ariel | Ariel+ | Ariel & Flounder | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skill (card text) | Clears a circle of Tsum Tsum | Clears Tsums in the shape of a circle and in the center | Activates 2 skills |
| Card | Ariel | Ariel+ | Ariel & Flounder |
Ariel+ adds a center clear on top of the circle, and Ariel & Flounder is a two-skill Tsum. Their numbers aren't covered here, so check their own cards. Pastel Ariel and Adventure Ariel are separate Tsums too.
Missions she fits
- Circle / burst skill missions: Fandom lists her as a circular burst Tsum, and the skill text says the same thing
- Little Mermaid and initial-A missions: her series and her name
- Not a flower Tsum. Fandom specifically notes that plain Ariel doesn't count as a flower Tsum, even though Pastel Ariel does. Fandom only (unconfirmed).
What's still unconfirmed
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Skill size labels for each level | Fandom and Tsum Tsum Central use different labels |
| "Not a flower Tsum" | Fandom only |
| The catalog card's 7th skill level | Doesn't match Fandom, Tsum Tsum Central or the in-game card in the video |
