Ortho Shroud skill, explained
Intl October Tsum Ortho Shroud: how the tap-to-clear-a-line skill works, what's confirmed about the Intl release, which Villains Halloween missions he may fit, and how to read the coin numbers.
Ortho Shroud (the Twisted Wonderland Tsum) is a new October Tsum on the International app, alongside Disney Villains (Set) and Scheming Gaston. His skill is a tap: you tap the board and a line of Tsums goes. Here is what we could confirm, what we couldn’t, and how to read the coin numbers floating around.
The short version:
- He is in the International app. Fandom lists him as an International Tsum, and tsumlyss’s footage is the English client with Ortho Shroud at Skill 6. RelaxZone’s Skill 1–3 videos show a Traditional Chinese client
- The skill is a tap, not a swipe. Fandom’s text says the line passes through the spot you tap. The Traditional Chinese in-game text shown by RelaxZone says “randomly” clears a whole row. These two don’t say quite the same thing (more below)
- How to get him is only partly confirmed. He’s a limited-time Premium Tsum. The dates of his rate-up are not confirmed
- The coin numbers are individual tests with different conditions. They are not a ranking
Is he really on the International app?
Earlier this month a Fandom note said he was Japan-only, so we checked before writing.
| Evidence | What it shows | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fandom “Ortho Shroud” page | Now says he was introduced in the International Villains Halloween event (2026); the “Japanese version only” sentence was removed on Oct 11 | Fandom |
| Fandom “International Tsums” list | Ortho Shroud is listed after Scheming Gaston, as the newest entry | Fandom |
| tsumlyss video (Oct 10) | English-language client (“Bonus Items”, “Today’s Missions”, “Weekly High Score”); Ortho Shroud at Skill 6, Tsum Lv 12 | tsumlyss |
| RelaxZone Skill 1–3 videos (Oct 8–10) | Thumbnails show a Traditional Chinese client with his info card marked “New!”, “Limited time” and a rate-up badge | RelaxZone |
So we have a wiki and two different creators, one on an English client and one on a Traditional Chinese client. That is enough for us to say he’s live in the International app.
Loose end: Fandom’s page still carries the “Japan Exclusive Tsums” tag even though its text now says he’s in the International event. The International Villains Halloween page doesn’t list him either. We take that as an unfinished edit, not as a contradiction, but it’s why we’re saying so.
How to get him
| Point | Status |
|---|---|
| Box type | Premium Box, limited time (Fandom) |
| Rate-up shown in game | Yes: the RelaxZone Skill 1 thumbnail shows a rate-up badge on his info card. We only saw this in a thumbnail |
| When the rate-up starts and ends | Not confirmed. We found no Intl source with dates. Check the Premium Box screen in your game |
| Available after the event | Fandom says Limited Time Event Tsums aren’t available from Premium Boxes outside the event |
Watch: Skill 6 on an English client
If the video doesn’t load: Ortho Shroud SL6 Lv12 Gameplay (tsumlyss) (about 5.5 minutes)
It’s a single run, and we didn’t rely on any commentary in it. What to look for:
- The start screen. The Bonus Items screen shows which items are on. The +Coin and 5▶4 icons look lit (our reading of the screen)
- The Fever stretch in the middle. The combo counter climbs from 55 to well over 200 across the run
- The result screen at the end, which we read for the table below
How the skill works
| Point | Details | Checked by |
|---|---|---|
| Skill text (English) | “When you tap the screen, a line of Tsums that pass through the area you tapped will be cleared!” | Fandom |
| Skill text (in-game, Traditional Chinese) | “點擊畫面可以隨機消掉整排的Tsum!” = “Tap the screen to randomly clear a whole row of Tsums!” | RelaxZone thumbnail |
| Tsums needed for a full charge | 17 | Fandom only |
| Skill range and number of hits | Skill 1: S, 1 hit. Skill 2: M, 1. Skill 3: M, 2. Skill 4: L, 2. Skill 5: L, 3. Skill 6: LL, 3 | Fandom only |
| Score per skill | 40 at Lv 1, +18 per Tsum level, 922 at Lv 50 (these add up) | Fandom only |
- Where the “random” is. Fandom’s sentence suggests the spot you tap decides which line goes. The in-game text says the row is random. Fandom’s English text may be translated from another version, so we trust the in-game text for wording but haven’t tested which is right. If you try him, note where the lines actually land.
- Per-level Tsum costs. Fandom says maxing him takes 32 copies, but its per-level column adds up to 29. We left the column out. Check the skill-up screen in game.
- Skill range letters (S, M, L, LL) are Fandom’s labels. We didn’t measure them on screen.
Coin numbers: individual tests, not a ranking
Each of these is one creator’s run under their own conditions. They shouldn’t be lined up as a skill-level curve.
| Creator | Skill level | Conditions we could see | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| tsumlyss (English client) | Skill 6 | Tsum Lv 12; +Coin and 5▶4 appear on | Score 19,519,384; 5,020 coins on the result screen. The in-play counter ended near 4,564, and the title says “4.5k base coin” |
| RelaxZone (Traditional Chinese client) | Skill 2 | “5 to 4” item named in the title; other conditions not checked | “2,000+” in the thumbnail and title |
| RelaxZone (Traditional Chinese client) | Skill 3 | Same as above | “2,450” in the thumbnail |
- For tsumlyss we read the result screen ourselves. We don’t know why the result is higher than the in-play counter (bonuses are the likely reason), so we are not claiming a base number
- For RelaxZone we only used the thumbnails and titles. We couldn’t re-open those videos, so the numbers are the creator’s claims and are not verified against a result screen
- A rough comparison. Our Scheming Gaston guide reads 4,926 coins at Skill 6 from a different RelaxZone video. That’s in the same range as Ortho’s 5,020, but the Tsum levels and items differ, so don’t treat either as better
Where he may help in Villains Halloween
Fandom’s tags for Ortho Shroud include: Premium, male, eyebrows, tuft of hair, burst skill, center burst skill, eyelashes, blue and black. Lined up against the mission lists on Fandom’s International Villains Halloween page:
| Card | Missions he may count for (per Fandom tags) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 300 Tsums with a premium Tsum; 900,000 points with a male Tsum; 20 combo with a Tsum with eyebrows |
| 2 | Chain of 7+ with fluffy hair; 600 Exp. with a black Tsum; 70 MyTsums with a burst Tsum |
| 3 | 1,650 coins with a Tsum with eyelashes |
| 5 | 9,750,000 points with a blue Tsum |
| 6 | 6,600 coins with a center burst Tsum |
- Only “black Tsum” has an extra note. A Fandom editor added the black tag on Oct 9 with the comment “Counted for black Tsum mission”
- The rest rely on Fandom’s tags and mission text alone. For Cards 3–6 we also treat the mission list as less settled; see our Villains Halloween guide. Tap the mission in game to confirm he qualifies before you spend items
- As one of this month’s new Tsums he should get the event’s Character Bonus (Fandom’s event page says so)
Tips (our suggestions)
These are our own suggestions, not from either source.
- Test the tap before you spend items. Since the sources disagree on how the line is chosen, a couple of plays without items will tell you more than a description
- Treat him as a mission Tsum first. He matches many tags across Cards 1–2, and the coin tests so far are a single run each. If you only have a few Tsum copies, use the Character Bonus on a mission before you chase skill levels
- Compare him with the other two new Tsums on missions, not just coins. See Villains Set skill, explained and Scheming Gaston skill, explained
- Check the rate-up dates in your Premium Box screen before you spend coins, because we couldn’t find them
What we confirmed and what we didn’t
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| He is in the International app | Confirmed: Fandom, plus two creators on English and Traditional Chinese clients |
| Premium Box, limited time | Fandom; a rate-up badge seen in a RelaxZone thumbnail |
| Rate-up start and end dates | Not confirmed |
| Skill text | Two versions that differ on “random” vs. “the area you tapped” |
| Tsums needed per skill level | Not confirmed (Fandom’s numbers don’t add up) |
| Coin numbers | One run per creator; RelaxZone numbers not verified on a result screen |
| Mission fit | Fandom tags only; tap the mission in game |
