Pumpkin Minnie & Top Hat Genie: Skills Explained (Intl Pickup Capsule)

Both are back in the Intl app's Oct 30 Pickup Capsule. What their skills do, the numbers by skill level, and whether either is worth a pull.

The International app's second October Pickup Capsule went live on Oct 30, and the official account's announcement named exactly two Tsums: Pumpkin Minnie and Top Hat Genie. Neither is new, and neither is a coin farmer, so most guides skip them. Here's what they actually do, so you know what you're getting if one drops out of a capsule pull.

See the official post on X (@LINE_tsumtsum_g, Oct 30)

The post says: "Pick-Up Capsules! Featuring Pumpkin Minnie, Top Hat Genie ...& more! Get the Last Prize!" Our read: the official account chose to lead with these two, but the "...& more" and the "Last Prize" line are the real story. The end prize is why most players open a Pickup Capsule, and the post doesn't say what it is. The Reddit evaluation thread for this capsule called both Tsums "filler" for coins. We agree on coins, but each one has a niche.

Quick take:

  • Pumpkin Minnie: tap falling candies to clear Tsums around them. Max skill level is 3. Weak for coins, fun for combo and tap-skill missions
  • Top Hat Genie: a random skill with three possible effects. Inconsistent, but it can help with missions that want a hat, a beard, or a blue Tsum
  • Our take: don't pull the capsule for either of them. Pull for the end prize if it's something you need, and treat these two as a bonus

How the skill plays: candies drop from the top of the board. Tap one and it clears the Tsums around it. If you miss, the candy still pops when it hits the bottom, but it clears less. Both sources say the same thing. Tsum Tsum Central adds that the candies fall fast, so tapping all of them is hard.

Tips:

  • Swipe across the candies instead of tapping one at a time. Fandom suggests this, and it's easier on your fingers
  • Aim for crowded spots. Each candy only clears a small area, so you get more out of it where Tsums are packed together
  • Missions: she's handy for "clear with a tap skill" or combo missions, since every candy counts. For coins, she's at the bottom of the pack at every level

The copies-per-level numbers don't match between the two sources, so we're not stating how many copies max her out. Either way it's a small number, because she only has three levels.

Top Hat Genie

Skill text (Fandom): "Random effect. So random, we don't even know what it does!"

The skill picks one of three effects each time. Fandom and a 2020 Reddit write-up from his International debut describe the same three:

  1. Card trick: Genie shows three playing cards. Pick one and it clears an X-shaped area. Pick the matching card and it clears a second time
  2. Two types only: for a short time the board becomes two kinds of Tsum (Fandom says the front and back of Top Hat Genie). The Reddit write-up notes they start sorted top and bottom, which makes quick chains easy
  3. White-hat Genies: random Tsums turn into Genies wearing a white top hat. Chain them with the regular Top Hat Genie and they clear the Tsums around them
Skill level Tsums to activate Range Copies needed
1 21 XS 1
2 20 S 1
3 19 M 2
4 18 L 4
5 17 XL 8
6 16 XXL 20

This table is from Fandom only (36 copies to max). We couldn't find a second International source with per-level numbers, so treat them as unconfirmed. The Reddit write-up only says the effects "increase by skill level."

Other details, all Fandom only:

  • First released in International in Genie's The Magic Show (February 2020). The Reddit "February 2020 Update" thread backs up the timing, so this one has two sources
  • The white-hat Genies don't count as My Tsum, but the back-facing Genies from effect 2 do
  • Mission tags: boy, blue, eyebrow, hat, beard

Tips:

  • Random means inconsistent. You can't plan around one effect, so he's a poor pick for score or coin runs
  • Card trick: you can't see which card matches, so just pick quickly and keep the game moving
  • Missions are where he earns his slot. Hat, beard, blue, and eyebrow Tsum missions come up often, and he covers several of them at once

Should you pull?

This part is our opinion.

  • Not for these two. Neither one will change your coin income. The Reddit evaluator's "filler" label matches what the skill numbers suggest
  • Pull for the Last Prize. If the end prize turns out to be a Skill Ticket and you have a strong coin Tsum one level short, the capsule can be worth finishing. Check the prize on the capsule screen first, since nobody has confirmed it yet
  • Collectors and mission players: if you don't own them, they're limited-time Tsums. If this capsule works the way Fandom describes capsules (a fixed set of 15 Tsums), pulling it to the end gets you both. That's unconfirmed for this capsule, so check the capsule screen
  • Need Skill Ticket options instead? See Where to Get Skill Tickets (Intl)

Still unconfirmed

  • When this Pickup Capsule ends, and what the Last Prize is
  • Pumpkin Minnie's copies-per-level (Fandom and Tsum Tsum Central disagree)
  • Top Hat Genie's per-level numbers (Fandom only)
  • How the skills look on a 2026 International account. We haven't checked a recent International gameplay video, so nothing here comes from one

Always check the in-game capsule screen and the Tsum's skill info for final details.
